With strong art direction, and a solid grasp of what makes VR absorbing, Wayward Sky is a warm, simple pleasure.
A breezy adventure elevated by its charm
is an incredibly charming 3D puzzle-adventure that swings between fixed-camera views of a giant mechanical city in the sky and first-person views of puzzles (and cutscenes)
It’s a very cutesy point-and-click adventure game with whiffs of Miyazaki films like Porco Rosso and Laputa, and it’s the only game I’ve actually thought about after the fact.
