E3 Press Coverage for Monday Night Combat

06.30.10

“Monday Night Combat” received praise in nearly 20 community and enthusiast outlets such as The Examiner, G4tv.com, IGN, Kotaku, and WorthPlaying. Multiple outlets posted favorable commentary after experiencing the “Blitz” co-op mode during E3.  Enthusiasts and community outlets alike applauded the “team sport shooter” including Destructoid, which noted the more they played “Monday Night Combat,” the more excited they got for the game’s release.

Key Quotes:

“Xbox Live Arcade now has some pretty good multiplayer games on its service thanks to the likes of Battlefield 1943 and Snoopy Flying Ace (no, seriously). Can Monday Night Combat make a name for itself in that field? Judging by the trailer, the mayhem and the Team Fortress 2-inspired visuals, we think so.”
Ryan Kind, CVG

“So what is Monday Night Combat? Well, that’s a little tricky to explain. It’s kind of like a tower-defense game with third-person shooter gameplay, and Smash TV sensibilities. Oddly enough, it’s a combination that seems to be working well.”
Game Informer

“If all the games are of Monday Night Combat’s standard this year, it looks like a strong showing for the downloadable games once again.”
Pete Davison, Kombo.com

“It’s like Team Fortress 2 and DotA made a baby,” our Chris exclaimed when he played MNC’s competitive ‘Crossfire’ mode at PAX East in April. Which sounds lovely.

It’s no secret, we love Monday Night Combat. The upcoming Summer of Arcade title from Uber Entertainment blends Duke Nukem attitude, frantic 3rd person multiplayer shooter mayhem, and bacon.
